Long Arm Information
  After you have taken the Long Arm Quilting class you may use our machine to finish your quilt.  No more hassle trying to finish a quilt on your sewing machine.  Private sewing room with work table and design wall to plan the sewing. Time begins when the machine does.  Quilters may reserve the long arm room for private use any time the shop is open.

  $18.00 PER HOUR MINIMUM OF 2 HOURS 

Class sizes vary and are first come first serve.  So call today to register for any of the classes listed below.  We will add class times as we can for those not able to attend times and dates as listed below.

 

INTRO TO LONG ARM CLASS                                                                            

This class will introduce the workings of the long arm quilt machine.  You will learn to thread, oil, cean and put the quilt on the machine to quilt it.  This class is two hours of hands on learning with a third hour that is private for you to bring in a piece of your own to practice the techniques you learned in the two hour class.  This  class is required for those who wish to rent time on our long arm to finish quilts.  It is also great for those who just bought a machine for their home studios.  Contact the shop to schedule your class.

BEGINNING LONG ARM DESIGNS

Let’s run some thread thru the machine and get some designs on your quilt!  This is a technique class to be taught by Lee Spencer on second Tuesday of the month from 10 am-Noon 
second Wednesday 6:30-8:30 pm

OODLES OF DOODLES DESIGNS

Let’s learn some new border designs for your quilt!  The designs brought to us by Jan Kaiser and  technique class to be taught by Lee Spencer on first Tuesday of the month from  6pm-8pm 
or first Wednesday of the month from 10am-Noon

BEYOND BEGINNING LONG ARM DESIGNS CLASS

Let’s build on the designs you learned in the first class and try them on your next quilt!  This is a technique class to be taught by Lee Spencer on first Tuesday of the month 10am-12pm or the first Wednesday of the month 6pm-8pm

FEATHER YOUR NEST
Have you ever wanted to learn how to make those wonderful feathers you see on everyone's quilts?  Now is your chance!  In this three part class you will learn from the beginning how to make gorgeous feathers to enhance your quilts.  We will start out with basics and work our way up to curling Amish feathers.  Class is scheduled at students request - Three two hour sessions, once a week for three weeks.  Handouts included in cost of class.

I OWN A LONG ARM & NEED TO USE IT....
If you own a long arm and have not used it or have not used it often, this class is for you.  We will explore how to use your machine to finish quilts and not be intimdated.  A new machine is like a new baby, what do I do with now?  We will be the grandma to your new "baby" and get you felling confident that you can finish quilts with the same confidence you have making the quilt top.  Two hour class with hands on teaching.  This is a private class scheduled on your availability.
