Class List

Class sizes vary and are first come first serve.  So call today to register for any of the classes listed below.  We will add class times as we can for those not able to attend times and dates as listed below. We are looking forward to teaching you!

Nine Degree Wedge

This class will teach the nine degree ruler pattern and technique.  This is an amazing quilt and good way to use left over strips of fabric.  Sample in the shop, limited to six students.  Includes ruler set and patterns.

 BEGINNING QUILTING
 
This class is for the new quilter and will teach you pattern and fabric selection, quilting terms,  tools used and basic blocks used in quilting.  Workbook included. Four week class.  Begins the first Tuesday of each month.

  LONG ARM PANTOGRAPHS!

This class will teach how to use a pantograph on the long arm machine available in the shop.  Instructions and supplies included.  Limited to six students per class. One hour class offered on various days. Contact Karen to register for a class.

PAPER PIECING

Learn to use up those small pieces of leftover fabrics.  This class will teach the funcamentals of paper piecing quilt blocks.

 TABLE RUNNER FUN

Karen went a little crazy and made several fun table runners.  Join her to learn creative ways to use small pieces left in your stash or use new fabric to make a table runner gift.

HAND DYED FABRIC

I like living on the edge and love to have it my way.  So we have decided to create our own fabric.  This class does not use toxic dyes and is for all ages to enjoy.  We will supply you with one yard of fabric prepared for dying and show several different ways to add color.   Join us for lots of fun and bring rubber or latex gloves.

I LIKE MINE WITH LETTUCE AND TOMATO

Come sew with us on Monday’s.  Bring in a current project or pick a new one at the shop.  We ask that you bring one salad fixin’ to add to our salad luncheon.  Water and ice tea provided, so join us!

COTTON THEORY CLASS

Sue Wilson is coming to teach the Betty Cotton Theory method of construction.  This is a reversible project, so you will get two for the work of one.  Class fee includes the pre-cut fabric kit and pattern.

BINDING CLASS

Now that you have finished your top and quilted it, you need to get the binding on.  Join us for a one hour class to learn how to make the binding, attach it and hand stitch it to the quilt.

CHAIN OF EVENTS

Come join us and learn how to make easy Flying Geese and use the Tri-Recs rulers to make an optical illusion quilt.
