Kim Fauth to teach 'ABCD QUILTING' at Little Red Quilt House
Kim Fauth a quilt teacher from Colorado will be at Little Red Quilt House teaching her ABCD Quilting class. You can visit her website www.abcdquilting.com for more information. Class will begin at 10 a.m., cost is $45 and requires her book at $27.95. After you visit her website I'm sure you will want to join us!
Kim Schrader Fauth has been teaching quilt classes for approximately 10 years but has been quilting for over thirty years. A former math teacher, she is an expert at explaining material so it makes sense. When she came up with the new ABCD Technique, she shared it with her Monday quilting group. They strongly encouraged her to write a book because the technique was so new and different. Her teaching background is evident throughout her book. The directions are in white, gray and black with areas of emphasis in blue. Each step is broken down with accurate drawings and hints to make sewing easier. Even though there are only three steps, she has a review page after Step Two so you don’t ruin all your gorgeous fabric! (Yes, we have all done those patterns with six steps to discover at step five something isn’t right….) You also will see her fun personality throughout the pages and when she is teaching.

Moon Over Waterfall, designed by artist Keiichi Nishimura, features his unique wave imagery in a beautiful Asian-inspired panel. The panel depicts a cascading waterfall under a full moon, seen through a canopy of delicate blossoms. Companion prints include a coordinating floral, a waterfall/wave print, a star-filled sky texture, an elegant medallion geometric, and small flowers on a background of medallions. Frame the waterfall panel with simple borders or with your favorite pieced blocks for a stunning wall hanging. The coordinates work well in traditional blocks including hexagons, stars, pinwheels, and nine-patches, as well as in Japanese lantern, kimono, and fan blocks for quilts, pillows, table runners, placemats, jackets, and totes. A pattern for a quilt and a classic tote bag, designed by Gina Gempesaw for the Moon over Waterfall collection, will be free to download when the collection ships.
Keiichi and designer Bergen Rose are a Seattle area art and design team dedicated to the creation of Asian-inspired patterns for art quilts, embroidery, and apparel. Find these patterns, which are wonderful interpretations by Bergen of paintings by Keiichi, at www.mochimochifiberart.com

Since 2009, we have become the centralized and most trusted source of quilting information (shops, brands, guilds, professionals, and museums) in the industry. We are becoming the common source every quilter, website, and book comes to for their information. Update it in one place and everyone has it.
We are the most trusted source and have begun to create the QuilingHub Network of websites and books that share one database (instead of many). We are one step closer giving the quilting industry one place to list their organization (shop, guild, brand, professional, etc) or event (quilt show, shop hop, sale, class etc) and their events and have it be visible everywhere. It just makes more sense to spend less money and effort getting your word out to the quilters.
As a Quilter:
Easily and accurately find shops, groups, museums, brands, service professionals, & events locally or while traveling from QuiltingHub or any other source in the QuiltingHub Network.
